The Composition of Golden and Silver Ink and Its Application in the Manufacture of Membrane Switch
What is the composition of gold and silver ink? How is it applied in the manufacture of membrane switches? JRPanel will explain to you today: like other inks, gold and silver inks are mainly composed of pigments and binders. Simply put, golden inks It is made of gold powder and gold oil, and silver ink is made of aluminum powder and silver oil.
1. Pigment
The pigment in golden ink is gold powder, which is actually powder made of copper and zinc alloy. The content of zinc in gold powder is generally about 8% to 30%. Among them, the color of gold ink with zinc content between 8% and 12% is reddish, and it is customarily called red gold. The color of gold ink with a zinc content between 20% and 30% is more blue, generally called cyan.
In membrane switch printing, gold powder of 800 mesh is generally used for the deployment of golden ink, and the surface of the gold powder particles are mostly covered with surfactants, which can be well combined with the resin binder. Silver powder is actually aluminum powder, which is composed of 65% flake aluminum powder and 35% volatile hydrocarbon solvent. Silver ink generally uses 400-1000 mesh silver powder. If silver ink is printed on a large area, a lower mesh silver powder can be used. For example, 400 mesh silver powder is used to prepare silver ink ink, which has a higher metallic luster after printing.
2. Binding Material
The binding material used in the gold and silver inks widely used in the printing of membrane switch panels is a special varnished oil, generally called gold-modified oil or silver-modified oil. The main components are oil, resin, and organic solvent. The binding material of printing ink should meet the following conditions:
(1) The transparency must be high, and it must not affect the hue of gold and silver ink.
(2) It must have enough viscosity to combine well with gold or silver powder.
(3) The gold or silver oil should also have quick-drying and fast-fixing properties to prevent the back side of the gold ink or silver ink membrane switch panel from being dirty.
(4) The acidity of gold or silver oil should be low, otherwise it will cause chemical reaction of gold powder or silver powder.
3. Additives
Adding a small amount of red dry oil to the gold ink in winter can speed up the drying speed; adding a small amount of bright paste or transparent yellow to the metal can enhance the ink affinity and transferability of the gold ink, increase the brightness and viscosity, and reduce the gold ink accumulation and improve liquidity. Adding stearic acid amide surfactant during ink adjustment can make the gold powder fully wet, disperse and float in the binder, reducing the phenomenon of paste and pile up in the process of ink transfer.
Gold ink and silver ink are widely used in the manufacture of membrane switches. They can effectively improve the product grade of membrane switch, aesthetics, and decorative effects. Especially in consumer electronics and household appliances, gold ink and silver ink play an irreplaceable role.
