Process Flow of Precision Sheet Metal

The sheet metal processing technology is complex and diverse, mainly including cutting, blanking, bending, etc. At the same time, it also provides services such as laser cutting, spraying screen printing, and assembly according to the customer's drawing design requirements. The following is the basic process of JR Sheet Metal Processing.

1.Material Application. According to the order, the engineer calculates the size and type of the required raw materials, and applies to the warehouse for requisition for subsequent product production.

2. Blanking. Technical engineers design according to customer drawings, decompose and expand all parts graphics. According to the size and thickness of the material, the workers use shears/laser cutting and other equipment to cut from large plates to obtain materials of appropriate sizes for each part. If it is a batch order, the punch die can be customized and die-cut directly into the unfolded figure of the part. When doing the blanking of this type of punch, we need to consider the blind area of the clamp. The first piece of CNC blanking must be fully inspected, including dimensions, and all the first pieces must be inspected for mass production. After the blanking is completed, the worker will mark the material number with a marker on the appearance of each piece of raw material, and then transfer to the next process-punching/opening process.

3. Punching/cutting process.Workers will process the raw materials on the CNC punch/cutting machine. The punching machine will carry out the processes of punching and cutting corners, punching and blanking, punching convex hull, punching and tearing, and punching holes. In this process, NC (Numerical Control) codes need to be compiled for the processed parts. Stamping/cutting programming engineers need to consider issues such as sheet utilization, cutting tools, power, precision, etc., to design the best punching plan to complete the punching. After the punching/cutting is completed, the parts are removed from the micro-connections and then sent to the bending machine for bending.

4. Bending.The product is bent to the shape and size required by the customer with a bending machine according to the design to ensure that the functionality of the product meets the customer's requirements.Bending processing requires a bending machine and corresponding bending molds to complete the operation. The main considerations are tool selection, bending sequence, bending compensation, bending interference, etc.

5. Fitter. In sheet metal products, some non-standard parts and related screws, studs, gaskets, tapping, etc. require mechanical processing and pressure riveting treatment (pressure riveting studs, pressure riveting nuts, pressure riveting screws, etc.), to complete the supporting work of related parts.

6. Welding. Weld multiple parts together to achieve the purpose of processing or weld the edges of a single part to increase its strength. Some parts cannot be bent to meet the customer's needs, or the scattered parts that have been punched (such as scattered parts with different thicknesses) need to be welded to meet the design requirements of the customer's drawings.JR adopts argon arc welding/two-protection welding/aluminum welding/spot welding/laser welding, and the welding quality is firm and reliable, and meets the welding appearance quality inspection requirements.

7. Polishing. There will be cracks or welding when the product has been punched or welded. It is smoothed by a high-speed rotating polishing plate to ensure better product surface uniformity and flatness, which facilitates the adhesion of subsequent sprayed coatings and improves the spraying yield.

8. Surface Treatment.According to the surface treatment requirements of the customer's purchase, painting/spraying/oxidation (for aluminum products) and other operations on the surface of the product can make the appearance of the product more beautiful and the color more uniform. The surface will also be smoother, and at the same time it can prevent oil stains, oxidation, and facilitate cleaning and maintenance. At the same time, the service life of the product is increased.

9. emi-finished product inspection. After the preliminary cutting/punching/cutting/bending/fitting/welding/grinding procedures, the sheet metal processing procedures are basically completed. At this time, the product needs to be inspected. For the welded or bent product, the size should be sampled according to the requirements of the drawing, and each size should be confirmed during the sample inspection. The appearance should be fully inspected, the unqualified ones should be adjusted in time, and the inspection should be checked again. The inspection report form should also be filled in. If there is any problem, it can be repaired/filled/filled in time to ensure the yield of subsequent processes, avoiding affecting the product manufacturing schedule.

10. Silk printing. According to the customer's drawing design requirements, the customer company's logo, logo or text description, etc. are printed on the product. JR uses screen printing to print. The graphics printed by silk screen is clear, strong in three-dimensional, and not easy to fall off or fade.

11. Complete assembly. The parts that have gone through the above procedures need to go through the final assembly to finally meet the customer's drawing requirements.Using screws, nuts, pressure riveting, pins and other connecting parts, the scattered parts are assembled according to the drawings to meet customer requirements.JR's assembly workers are experienced and can perform integrated assembly quickly and accurately. Customers can also choose to assemble by themselves, saving express/logistics costs.

12. Quality Inspection. Each process has corresponding quality inspection. After all the procedures are completed, JR will also arrange a quality inspection to check the product size, shape, slots, accessories, etc. for careful verification and inspection.Products that fail the inspection are not allowed to be shipped. JR always puts quality first and speed second in sheet metal processing. Once problems are found in sheet metal processing, they will be repaired/filled/filled immediately to ensure that the quality of the products delivered is qualified.

13. Warehousing packaging. After the inspection, the product is transferred to the packaging department. According to the size of the product and the number of accessories, the packaging worker selects the appropriate carton and protective foam, and reinforces the product and packs it to avoid product quality problems caused by scratches/dents/breaches during transportation.

14. Ready for Ship. After the packaging is completed, the product is scanned and stored in the warehouse and transferred to the area to be shipped. The shipper fills in the logistics form, uploads the logistics number, and waits for the pick.

15. With superb craftsmanship, strict control of every production detail,  JR wholeheartedly customizes satisfactory products for you!
